Goo Goo Dolls at Rocket Arena: Event Overview

Goo Goo Dolls join Def Leppard and The Struts for a Cleveland concert on June 21, 2027. For fans browsing ticketscleveland.org for Concerts and Pop / rock, this multi-act bill brings together arena-ready rock, modern glam energy, and the Goo Goo Dolls' enduring melodic catalog at Rocket Arena.

Formed in Buffalo in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative roots into one of pop rock's best-known bands. Fronted by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, the group broke through with Dizzy Up the Girl (1998), featuring “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris,” also featured in the film City of Angels, became a signature song and a defining communal singalong at the band's live shows. Other favorites include “Name,” “Here Is Gone,” and “Big Machine,” alongside newer material from 2022's Chaos in Bloom.

The group's long-running appeal comes from pairing guitar-driven arrangements with emotionally direct songwriting about love, loss, and resilience. Expect a set shaped by familiar hits and deeper catalog choices, though the exact running order and performance length have not been announced for this date. The advertised lineup also features The Struts and Def Leppard; set times and the order of performances should be confirmed closer to the event.

Rocket Arena places the show in downtown Cleveland, making it convenient to plan an evening around the city center. Prices currently start around $120, with costs varying by seat location, availability, and demand.

Venue and Seating Information

Rocket Arena is a downtown arena venue suited to large-scale concerts, with seating options that can offer different balances of stage detail, sound, and overall perspective. Before choosing tickets, check the event's seating map and the view from the specific section, as concert layouts may differ from sporting-event configurations.

Lower-level seats closer to the stage can provide a more immediate view of the performers, while elevated sections may offer a broader view of the full stage and production. No specific section is guaranteed to be best for every concertgoer; sightlines can depend on the stage setup and seat location.

Parking Information

Parking availability and rates can change with event schedules, so review current options before traveling. Downtown garages and surface lots are practical choices for reaching Rocket Arena, and booking ahead may help simplify arrival on a busy concert night.

• Compare nearby garages and surface lots for walking distance, event-day pricing, and availability.
• Consider parking farther from the arena if you prefer a potentially easier exit after the concert; check the route and current conditions before choosing.
